The Reluctant Demon by Mae Pierce

funny hopeful inspiring mysterious tense medium-paced

4.0

TITLE:  The Reluctant Demon
GENRE: Paranormal Romance
AUTHOR:  Mae Pierce
TROPE: Demons & Devils PNR, Fated Mates
TYPE: Series (Power of Blood #3)
POV: Multiple POV
MY RATING: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ / 5

The Legion and Demons of Hell have just formed a peace treaty, and Krexeldess (Krex) has arrived on a diplomatic visit to Melbek only to be shocked when he feels his mate bond kick in, but to find out his mate is a Legion. Cove is a strong FMC trying to navigate around her lost hope that she will no longer be part of a triad; instead, she is the mate of Krex, an awkward grumpy Demon who has just whisked her away to his home in Hell as soon as they both felt the mate bond. Unbeknownst to Cove, there are dangers to her kind in Hell, and Krex is working to keep her protected. The Reluctant Demon was a quick and enjoyable read that moved along at a good pace; I enjoyed Cove and Krex's story, which had just the right amount of spice. I am giving a rating of 4 / 5 Stars.
