Okay. I will be the first one to admit that this book is a tome. It's massive and has a lot of flowery language and details that don't matter. And the ending made me mad. HOWEVER, this book is a classic for a reason. The story that du Maurier crafts is masterful and provacative, and definitely sets a precident for all other gothic stories that follow it. I may not be picking up Rebecca again anytime soon due to the sheer length amount amount of brain power I used to read this book , but I am glad that I read it. I think that anyone who claims to be a fan of suspense or gothic fiction should read this book.
