Hook's Daughter by Heidi Schulz

4.0

I’d recommend this book to children in the 8-12 age range. It’s funny (particularly with the short-tempered narrator) and it has a strong female character. Despite being an easy read, it does also touch on - lightly - difficult topics of abandonment, orphans, child labour, workhouses and male inheritance over next in line.
