Journey into the Past by Stefan Zweig

5.0

I need to close this book and never open it again.

Stefan Zweig’s Journey Into The Past has arrested my heart, that long went without questioning who or why it had once felt love for. I could not stand this assault, yet I flipped through page after page, angered for the time that we will not get back. Because you, Ledimir, the reader, have been too young, ambitious, and afraid. Very little stories are able to revive a what-if, and though some timelines go dormant and may even seem to fade, one day they may reawaken to shake the entire foundation of your tender little reality.

Now imagine the loneliness one feels when out in the world. How could I ever be sane? When my mind spends more time with you, wherever you are, than here with me?
