It reads like a Dan Brown novel, and you can definitely tell it was written by a man. The characters are unlikeable but the story is interesting and I was surprised by the direction it took. The professors theory and eventual research findings were very thought provoking in how they "could" relate to actual life. Overall it wasn't a bad book, but I did have to put it down and walk away during a few scenes because they got pretty graphic.
