“and here she was, twenty-two and clueless and sloping back to a dingy flat, defeated once again” … story of my life
what if we only had one day, every year? and how confusing is a connection when behaviour and feelings are at odds with words. the ending of this novel was a let down, but overall it still made me reflect on a lot of my past decisions, and the clarity there is in distance. also on life and my relationships and what i tend to do for emotional protection, perhaps at the expense of others
