Is it just me or was anyone else waiting for the foursome the whole time? 😂
That said, this was a great next book in the series for Katee Robert. We still don’t know the depth of the consequences for Minos being in Olympus, and I wish there was more stakes at play beyond danger for the Thirteen and inner circle. They do “so much” to protect the city but what do WE get as readers to know and understand their need to fight for their city?? Not enough, IMHO. I loved the reluctant alliances in this one, though, and thought the relationships developed nicely. Spice was great and I loved the crossover from the friend groups becoming lovers.
I have a love hate relationship with this series because I think it could be so much better. As much as Katee researches and writes the spice scenes, I wish she put as much research and care into the plot and not-spicy scenes.
