By the Shores of Silver Lake, by Laura Ingalls Wilder

4.0

Time is moving forward and after a few poor years in Plum Creek the family decide to move on. Pa is offered a job with the railroad and moves on, further west to find a claim but how will they survive wintrer when no one is around and will Pa stake their claim in time?
With a surprise reappearance from some key characters of early years and a twist for poor Mary this is a sign of improved memory as the writing just rolls you along in the story.
