Bookshops & Bonedust by Travis Baldree

Before Viv created her life in Legends and Lattes, she had a life of adventure and misfortune. Thankfully, that misfortune lead her to make new friends that would forever change her. After a bad injury, Viv is forced to recuperate in the very small, very quiet town of Murk.

Spending her time annoying the surgeon, helping the rattkin in the bookshop, befriending a gnome, and romancing the baker, Viv finds herself with a whole new kind of adventure. Eventually the danger catches up to her, though, and with the help of her new friends and a bone creature, she finds new treasures in a dangerous place.

I absolutely loved seeing Viv become a part of not only this town, but a part of her true self. As Fern said, books can be mirrors, and we will see ourselves in them when we need to. And sometimes, the story after the story is our happiness come to stay. So jump into Bookshops and Bonedust and see what the mirror will show you!
