Blood Hunt by Jack Harvey, Ian Rankin

4.0

Blood Hunt was published in 1995 under a nom de plum - I wonder if Rankin was trying to protect the Inspector Rebus brand. In any case, I enjoyed this anti-corporation, conspiracy thriller which I found engaging and well-written. It's funny--and refreshing--to read a book where the Internet and ubiquitous cell phones don't play a role in the plot even though it makes the book dated. What is not dated is the writing - and the continuing problems with chemicals and our food supply.
