I had high hopes based on the premise of the book but I feel it failed to deliver on all fronts.

The writing just isn't that good and unfortunately neither is the analysis.

This quote from the last chapter pretty well represents this entire book:

"By February 2007, the average housing price declined to $197,000 from the pre-Katrina median of $203,000."
