While this story has an interesting premise with a librarian and vampire searching for ancient documents, it sadly is not really working for me. This is a slow building story that sadly has a lot of repetitive scenes and not a lot going on in between. I read a little over half the book and very little has actually happened yet, which makes the story drag. I was interested in seeing where the story was going and if Giovanni and Beatrice actually ever get together but after taking a break from this book for a few days I no longer have that urge. I am just going to stop here and say this one wasn’t for me.
