The Consequence of Falling by Claire Contreras

4.0

I really enjoyed this book. Enemies to lovers is my absolute favorite troupe and Claire Contreras' Consequence of Falling did it justice. Sexy, emotional, and angsty, I was hooked from the very first page.

Nathaniel and Presley butted heads like crazy. They're both so strong willed and determined not to back down. When they went back and forth, exchanging barbs, it created this yummy sexual tension and I just ate it all up. I will admit there were moments where these two annoyed the crap out of me. However, I still wanted them together so very badly. I just loved their chemistry.

That being said, as much as I loved the relationship between Presley and Nathaniel, it was the relationship between Presley and her father that struck a stronger cord with me. I'm gonna be honest, it hit a little closer to home than I would have liked. I was not prepared for the onslaught of emotions that it brought out of me. It felt super personal. That's just the brilliance of Claire Contreras' writing.

Consequences of Falling is a really good read in one sitting book kind of book. It will make you feel every emotion possible. I highly recommend picking it up.
