Sweet Little Lies by Carrie Elks

3.0

If I had half stars, I would have rated this book 3,5, leaning towards 4. I really like the story, I don’t remember seeing this anywhere else before (or once or twice)

I still love the small beach town vibe of this series, the found family and the ‘soulmate’ couple we get to read about. Although I really think book 2 and 3 are similar… Obviously there’s some things that are different but because I read one after the other, I guess it really jumps to my eyes.

I didn’t really like Nick that much, in the other book I was under the impression he was younger and I don't know.. He wasn’t as present in the book as Riley (Nate’s daughter in the previous book). I really like when children are part of the story, especially when there are single parents in the story !

Anyway ! Good thing is that the spice is slowly getting heavier and heavier so maybe the next will be the perfect amount !

I love the trope ‘poor’ boy and ‘rich’ girl having a secret romance in their teens, parents mixing and destroying said relationship and them finding each other again later in life. Seriously I love it, and honestly this one was pretty great !
