Jasmine Toguchi, Great Gardener by Debbie Michiko Florence, Debbi Michiko Florence

I've really enjoyed reading the Jasmine Toguchi series, and this eighth book did not disappoint either! Each book tackles a different challenge like doing something before an older sibling, or discovering a talent you didn't know you had, or leaving behind a beloved relative, and Debbi Michiko Florence does a fantastic job of putting these growing 'pains' into words that are simple and easy to understand.

One of my favorite parts of the series is how you, the reader, get to experience and learn about Japanese culture and the Japanese language right alongside Jasmine. Reading these books always fills me with nostalgia from my own travels to Japan.

Definitely a series I enjoy recommending to readers who also enjoy Junie B and Fancy Nancy.

Thank you to NetGalley and Macmillan Children's for the eARC.
