Wherever the Wind Takes Us by Kelly Harms

5.0

4.5 stars - almost perfect

Very enjoyable story of a mother rediscovering her self after a bad ending to a marriage and a divorce that leaves her all but broke. The rediscovering happens on board of a sailing yacht of which I very strongly approve.

There is romance, well done and not the focus of the story. The love interest is kind of too perfect though, he would be fighting women off with sticks if he existed in real life. However, this very fact made for a very, very cozy read where you could tell that there will be a happy ending from the get-go. There is enough going on to create tension without it ever ever feeling like contrived drama.

Everybody acts in a natural, plausible way and our MC's development makes sense for who she is and the situation she is in.

The sailing stuff feels very solid, I think Kelly Harms must be a sailor herself. Highly recommended.
