This got off to a slow start for me and I considered giving up but I'm glad I stuck with it because I ended up really enjoying it. Even though it took me 150 pages to be fully invested, after that I really liked following Kiki and Malakai and their relationship. A lot of the plot focuses on popularity and cliques within their university, which felt a little more like high school to me, but that didn't mean I didn't believe the characters' experience. I enjoyed Babalola's writing when I read Love In Colour a few years ago and was pleased to find I liked it just as much here.
