The Reader by Traci Chee

3.0

I really liked the premise of this book, but I had trouble with the actual book.

First, I love stories where multiple parts come together and their plots intertwine. This had some of this, but many parts at the end seemed to either come out of nowhere, or maybe I must have missed something.

In these types of stories, the reader needs to understand the world that the characters are living in. I didn't feel a part of the world and am still not certain of all the rules that govern it. This made it a bit tough to get immersed in it as well.

All that being said, though, I didn't dislike the book. I don't know if I want to see what happens to these characters or not, but on its own, this book has a little something that kept me turning page after page.
