i understand why julia is so unlike-able to me being an eldest mex-am daughter but the fatphobia and misogyny was just too flagrant coming from a character who claims to be above the -isms perpetuated by mexican culture. i rooted for her so much happy for her growth but still made me feel sad of how she would judge my appearance lol
