I’m not usually in the mood for cheesy rom-com books, but when I am, I reach for Ali Hazelwood. She writes exactly what I’m looking for. I am in love with Jack Smith-Turner; he is EXACTLY my type (attractive 30-something year old physicist with lots of cool physics tattoos). Elsie is 100% a protagonist I can project onto (chronic people-pleasing physicist) which is what I unapologetically do anytime I read a romance book. I loved the science puns and the diverse cast of characters (so much so that I actually squealed when certain sexual orientations were represented) and the fact that this book was about a theoretical physicist.
