There are several serious topics which are mentioned in the book, but they only get treated superficially. Most of the characters are in my opinion very flat and unlikeable. The author forces trauma on Sam to give her more depth, but the main character Charlie does not seem to care about her trauma and it is only a topic for one page, then the book moves on and never mentions her trauma again. Generell speaking, Sam is very poorly written and only seems to exists so the main character Charlie has a love interest. Some dialogues, like were weird and irrational.
All in all I expected a lot from this book but got heavily disappointed due to poor writing and very unlikeable and flat characters.
