I don't think I started this book in the right setting. It felt a little too vague in the wrong places and too detailed in others. But I'm glad I picked it back up. It starts slow, but picks up and builds well near the middle. Once you're let in on what's happening, the book really can't be put down.

I can honestly say, I don't think I've read anything like it. It's a slow-reveal, complicated world building maze. By the end of it, I wanted to walk the halls of the House and hear the tides myself.
