I did not read Hollow Kingdom before reading this book and I was able to follow along perfectly. I fell in love with S.T. and Dee, and every creature that assisted them along their journey. I liked that the ending wasn't as cheesy as I thought it was going to be. I cried a few times reading this book. This is the perfect book to get you out of a reading rut.
