I had to read this book for required reading for a reading program I got chosen for. I have never felt more conflicted about a book, than this one. I hated the world, it was weird but I commend the author for the incredible world building. It made it seem less wacky. The main character was very bland, things seemed to happen to her, she didn't do any thing, and had no personality. The son was a very interesting character. I liked the prologue a lot, but then I kept reading it and until around page 150, I felt very neutral and not liking it very much, though some parts were better than others. Than after page 150 $h!t hit the fan. It had a solid ending, as it it was good, but made me mad. I am looking forward to see what I had to study about it.
