The Complete Persepolis by Marjane Satrapi

5.0

I admit it, I was pretty much completely ignorant of any of the details of the Iranian revolution until now. I've read a few articles here and there, but it's always been too complicated to fully wrap my mind around the events. In steps Marjane Satrapi.

From now on, I only want read about complicated events, theories, etc., in comic book form. Not only does Marjane break things down into a simplistic form, she helps us to understand just how hard it was to experience it all first hand. I can only hope to have a daughter someday as smart, creative, outspoken and strong as she is.
