Kiss Kiss by Roald Dahl

2.0

reading this short story collection is like watching aquaria in that hershey's kiss outfit on the finale of rpdr season 10. you know there's going to be a twist at some point in the story, and it really kills the vibe anticipating the twist rather than having a story just *be*, you know?

i'm giving two stars for "the landlady", "the way up to heaven" and "pig".

also, this book is clearly a product of it's time or whatever, but oof the misogny jumped out. the female characters are grating, very grating, and it's definitely not because women are just like that - it's clearly just how dahl sees women (see: georgy porgy).
