Love Redesigned by Lauren Asher

5.0

‘turns out i’d rather build a home with you than a thousand houses by myself.’

this book was absolutely adorable and I was OBSESSED from the very beginning. the characters? perfect. the plot? stunning. me? addicted.

the story follows dahlia and julian, childhood frenemies who become lovers. their banter is super fun and cute, from teasing each other to pulling off wild and sometimes risky pranks. when dahlia's awful ex dumps her, she heads back home to her family and julian. dealing with the breakup and some other heavy stuff, dahlia battles with depression, anxiety, and feeling lost. meanwhile, julian's still grappling with the loss of his dad and some choices he's not too proud of. but getting back together, dahlia and julian find comfort and love in each other, and by the end, they've both grown and changed for the better.

‘to those whose love language is words of affirmation. your praise kink is safe with me (and Julian Lopez).’

this book had me OBSESSED, i literally ate this book up!! it was so entertaining and enjoyable, i literally couldn’t put it down. dahlia and julian’s relationship had me crawling, they were such a cute couple, i literally wanted more. this book had all the best tropes without it being too overwhelming - childhood friends to lovers, small town and billionaire romance!! i loved that although julian was a bit of a grump it wasn’t disrespectful and the fact that they’ve always loved eachother ahhh. i NEED more, do ik what more of? no, do i just need more?? yess.

‘we’re the real deal, sweetheart, and I'm done letting you believe anything else.’

i loveed that julian was chasing dahlia, often times it’s always the fmc that sacrifices things for the relationship so it was so enjoyable to julian really show his love through his actions! she fell for him first but he fell harder and i’ll always love that about the book. i don’t know what drug miss lauren asher put in this book but i was ADDICTED. i’m so excited for the next book!

the writing in this book was so easy and simple to read. it wasn’t complicated and the characters were so enjoyable! i loved how the mums were involved in pushing the pair together without stepping over boundaries and being overtly annoying! lauren asher really upped her game with this one, she’s literally the queen of billionaire romances and dare i say it’s her best novel yet!
