The Sky Is Everywhere by Jandy Nelson

3.0

I recently reread this book and I’m not sure how I feel about it. I get that cheating is wrong but in a way I oddly do get why Lennie and Toby did what they did. Like their grief just manifested in a weird way. I feel what Joe did with collecting the poems was a bit odd since he was kind of invading her privacy in a way. I understand that she kind of left it there so anyone could read it but she did it with the knowledge that they wouldn’t know it was her. It just feels so invasive as she was writing her thoughts and letting them go. I guess why I find it so invasive is that he witnessed it but was nosy enough to find what she wrote. Anyway, it was a fun read as Jandy Nelson’s writing style is so smooth and easy to read, and the story and its characters were entertaining.
