A man is found bludgeoned to death in a forest, and a group of undocumented workers are found hidden in a garage. At first the cases seem unrelated are and treated as such, but DS Karen Hart has her own suspicions.

This is a complex police procedural involving people smuggling and police corruption and is told from an investigative point of view making me feel like I was one of the team trying to figure out what was going on. There were plenty of twists which kept me on my toes. We also learned more about the accident that killed Karen's husband and child.
