I read this book about two years ago and I loved it. I read it again and now I just can't like it anymore. I remembered how much i liked this book too!! I thought it was hilarious!! I thought Lee was absolutely wonderful! He was courageous, always going into battle trying to protect Indy and making the criminals cower in fear. If any harm was done to him or his, then he would get even. Indy, I thought, was the absolute bomb. She was weirdo, who loved to do strange things. She was an interesting character that had weird personalities. But here's my review on it after my second reading.

Heroine's personality: She's crazy and stupid. If a guy's hunting your friend down, you don't go around town asking everyone you see him, knowing that it might potentially get you shot or kidnapped. Second, if you are trying to help your friend, and knowing that you don't have any experiences dealing with criminals who have no qualm about shooting you, you should not go around actively looking for your friend WHO IS OBVIOUSLY TRYING TO STAY IN HIDING! Also you leave it to a person who knows more about the criminals and the situation more than you do.

Hero's personality: I somewhat liked the hero. He was intense, caring, and ready to protect Indy. He was cautious and knowledgeable about the situation. He was also aware of his girlfriend trying to be a little risky and knowing this he made preparations on how to protect her. He had a bodyguard on her just to make sure she was protected even when he couldn't be there. However, he was too overbearing. I feel like there is a line between being protective and just being overbearing.

A man should at least respect the things that a woman says no matter how stupid or dumb it might be, especially if it is in regards to what and how she wants to live. Case in point, the first time we see the characters meet, they sleep on the same bed but it wasn't the heroine's decision. She didn't want to sleep with him, but he forced her to. When she said she was going to sleep on the couch his reply was "The hell you will".

I feel like if someone doesn't want to sleep with you, you shouldn't force them to do it, even if you assume that the girl has the hots for you. So if you're gonna say 'oh she liked it later'. or 'she unconsciously wants him too'. If you disregard someone's opinion on who they want to be or the choices they wish to make, then you make them seem lesser and smaller than you. Especially considering that she just doesn't want to sleep in the same room as him.

It's a small choice, one that won't make or break their relationship. She has an option to chose with she wants to sleep with and where she wants to sleep. It wasn't also like it was dangerous for her to sleep on the couch considering that as Indy and her friend Ally said before no one has the gumption to break and enter Lee's complex. I know what kristen ashley is trying to do; she's just trying to say that Lee won't hesitate to get what he wants. But the way he does it is what I disagree with.
