Call Me Irresistible by Susan Elizabeth Phillips

5.0

I inhaled this book within 24 hours. Which is surprising because it's been sitting on my [digital] shelf for about 11.5 years. I'm so happy I finally read it (better late than never) because it's my first 5-star romance novel of the year!

This book did come out Dec. 2010 and it does read a touch dated at times, but that did not take away from the story and my enjoyment of it. It's funny, it's heartfelt--it's a true hate-to-love/enemies-to-lovers set in a quirky small town romcom that the recently published romance books I've been reading lately.

CMI had so much more substance--the plot just flowed and all the characters were their own individual people. Love Meg and Ted! Their chemistry was excellent. The town of Wynette and its residents I grew to like as Meg did. Now I'm kind of tempted to go back to the beginning and read book 1 of the series (Ted's parents' book) just to spend more time in Wynette...
