Not much happens in this book and you are kept in the dark because the main character is kept in the dark.
And everything (of what little is happening) unfolds very very slowly. And I'm not into slow books.
But I could not put it down! And in the last 150 pages I was glued to it.

The writing is impeccable, the world building is seriously intriguing and Ophelia is one of the strongest female protagonists I've read. Even though she doesn't seem like it. I adored her from the start.

Also, you will be thrown into this world and left on your own. No spoon feeding, no explanations, you'll learn about it as you go.

If you like steam-punk, quirky characters with quirky powers, court intrigues, visious family members and pacing of a snail..then this book is for you.
