Slow but very satisfying plot. Osman writes with such love for his characters. It felt like he wanted to introduce his friends, and it made the story very fulfilling to experience.
Reminded me of a British Carl Hiassen in many ways. Only took a star off because it was quite slow. But that was also what this particular story needed. By not rushing to the climax of the book, Osman delivers a mystery that felt real in many ways.
Please take care to check trigger warnings. As this book centers on elderly characters as well as murder there is a lot of death.
