Kim by Rudyard Kipling

2.0

A tough one to assess.

Both premise and story arc have promise, but I can appreciate the book more than I can say I enjoyed it. Has potential as an interesting discussion, but neither in which I participated demonstrated any real traction.

audiobook note: Simon Vance is characteristically great, especially given the difficulty of performing characters of different nationalities and education without stereotype or even mockery. However, the fact that not even his voice could engage me in the narrative was a caution.
