Deadmen Walking by Sherrilyn Kenyon

4.0

The blurb should have focused sole on Devyl because I was confused by his lack of interaction with Cameron and wondered why Mara was in the picture. Figured it would be a love triangle thing for a bit but Cameron wasn't mentioned much and then I assumed she'd betray him and he'd go to Cameron after. All roads pointed back to her (I was sure of) until about 60% of the way through and we find out Devyl's feelings. The blurb was very misleading and had me fixated on the wrong couple. Otherwise, a good story thanks to the new world building done. It somewhat has to do with Dark-Hunter universe we are already versed in but it's a different area. Instead of the Greek pantheon being the central focus it's more of the backdrop to the Norse mythology and blending of histories. Want sure I'd like the pirate element of the book but I think it works for this setting. gonna read more.
