Now, I consider myself a generally quick reader. I enjoy books that engage me, and lament the time it took for me to get through them, because it is that much less time that I spend in their worlds.
This book, though? It's like being strapped to a coke bottle and pooping super powerful mentos into it. It's like waterskiing with your head in a doghouse. It's like... Okay, you get the point. This book hooks you and drags you along, as though it were some kind of old timey stagehand who loved their job a little too much. If it weren't for the various obligations I have, I feel certain that I could have had enough momentum to finish this book in less than two hours.
And by golly, I WANT MORE.
