Black Lake Manor by Guy Morpuss

4.0

Black Lake Manor rang true with aspects of Knives Out murder mystery style goodness and the time-bending wackiness that Seven 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle brought to the table. If you liked either one there’ll be something for you here! I liked the main character enough and how the concept played out: culture was an interesting factor throughout as well as the ever-budging limits of technology. Mild commentary without detracting from the story itself, which was pretty killer, not too confusing, not repetitive, and effective overall! Last half was a little less gripping for me than the first half but no major issues in whole.
