The relationship between Sam and Sadie made me hopeful for my own friendships. It is rare to find people that you have an odd and specific connection with. It is something that I have fetishized in the past, like so many of us do. This book helped me realize my short comings and the aspects of my relationships that I find it difficult to live without.
