I felt the story dragged out a bit which made it very difficult to finish it. Towards the end I had the 'I just want to get it over and done with attitude' which is not what you want - you want to be engaged by the story. The writing was lackluster which made it hard to engage with.
However, there was one thing I liked: Evelyn and Harry’s friendship. It was so pure, especially during the time they raised their daughter together. I also liked how they portrayed people have to sacrifice or protect yourself due to fame i.e. not being able to come out as bisexual during a homophobic society.

Moderate: Death of parent, Violence, Domestic abuse, and Car accident
Minor: Suicide, Homophobia, and Abortion
