Resident Alien, Volume 1: Welcome to Earth! by Peter Hogan

4.0

Resident alien is about a crash landed alien who assumes a new, normal human identity in the Pacific Northwest. Part mystery, part slice of life, this has been made into a tv show featuring Alan Tudyck.
I read volume one, and can say it’s grounded in reality, apart from the alien character/subplot. While he’s only been on the Earth for three years, he’s being hunted by a government agency.
There’s a cool story in volume one, involving our favorite alien trying to solve the murder of a small town doctor—whose job he is now responsible for, and his interactions within the town. He fell in love with mysteries, especially noir, and enjoys solving them on his own, but he’s working with a coworker.. I look forward to more in the series AND the show!
