I didn’t enjoy the book because of the topic. I enjoyed the writing and how beautiful Nabakov’s prose is - and I guess I’ll always resent him for doing so on such a vulgar subject.
This book has a following that’s hard to understand, but it’s also given us a name for the Lolita complex. So I guess it’ll always be a love-hate relationship with this book for me. I don’t think I could read it again.
