Hunting Hour by Margaret Mizushima
4.0
Mizushima’s Timber Creek, Colorado is starting to resemble Louise Penny’s Three Pines, Quebec- both are beautiful idyllic rural places with a murder problem. In book three a young 13 yo is found dead on a hill behind school. She had an assignation with a high school boy. It appears she was promiscuous. Obvious suspects are the high school boys and the father. But then a carload of pedophiles from Denver on a camping trip present themselves. Meanwhile the local vet has a client who is acting strangely. He suspects someone is injuring his animals. Then another girl goes missing.
A fast paced story as Mattie and Robo race to find the girl and contend with her inner demons.
