Dracula by Bram Stoker

4.0

I still really loved this, but I have a few thoughts:

1. Mina Murray is smarter than all of the men in this book combined. They would never have made it without her and her "man brain" (ugh) to guide them through.

2. Quincey Morris deserved better.

3. I didn't notice it the first time I read this book, but Van Helsing talks SO much. Like, to the point that about half way through, my eyes glazed over whenever he appeared on the page. It took conscious effort to focus on his dialogue.

But all that aside, I still adore this classic of horror and the atmosphere it builds.
