i was so surprised i loved this almost as much as the first fortunes rocks tale. revisiting Ely Falls and the beautiful house on the fortune rocks beachside made my heart just so so warm ! i think the main difference was simply that this story was just shorter and spread out among more characters as opposed to fr. anyway yeah the whole thing with the sea glass was beautifully described and so many lovely sentences and notes on women and social constructs and all that jazz in the 1920/30s. another beautiful shreve novel - i hate saying goodbye to her worlds !
