The Glittering Court by Richelle Mead

4.0

I'm honestly amazed by how much I enjoyed this book. Every time I try to read these types I always get bored, but the author's writing style keeps you interested through every page. So much happens that by the time you finish you feel like you actually know the characters.
Adelaide starts off very selfish and arrogant while living with her grandmother, but you slowly see her transform into a smart and independent caring woman. With books that normally do that with characters they make that transition quickly and unrealistically, but in The Glittering Court the transformation seemed real.
This book is somewhat long and she definitely explains a lot of things in detail, but definitely worth the read. Can't wait to read the second one.
