Any Similarity to Persons Living or Dead is Purely Coincidental by Drew Friedman, Josh Alan Friedman, Chester "Chappy" O'Daniel

3.0

This book was a bizarre travel back in time for me, reminding me of the era when I would by and devour "vintage" Mad Magazines from garage sales and early-stage eBay... and when my piano teacher would let me have her old TV Guides and Reader's Digests... together, these "literary" influences allow me to enjoy the vignettes about Joe Franklin and Wayne Newton more than your average borderline millenial, I think. The stippled and collaged artwork is great to look at but (maybe because of the Mad Magazine) I expected this to be zanier than it was. The best story, for exactly this reason, was the one about Morgan Fairchild as a roommate.
