I was not a fan of the writing. Since it's a YA book, I know I would have liked this as a teenager. The dialogue was cringe and seemed forced. And the plot seemed a little farfetched at times.

Without spoiling anything, I can just say as an exemple that there is absolutely no way a school you want Pip to do a presentation about solving the case. It makes the school looks so damn bad like it's the worst possible school you could send your kid to. Their students, teachers, the drugs, the murders, the r@pes....... that's one exemple of something that happened that would never happen in real life.

Still overall a good book I would recommend, but especially to teenagers.

I wanted to read it before watching the show on Netflix. Into Netflix now!
