This was a really interesting coming-of-age tale from a time and place I’m not familiar with. Annie’s teenage angst and separate depression are captured so well. The queer love took me by surprise and I loved how matter of fact it was. I know there’s a ton to analyze here, but the disjointed vignettes isn’t my favorite style.
