It's easy to tell how much I love cats—I didn't want to give this book a bad rating "because the cat on the cover deserves better", and I got very emotional about it too. That aside, there are two great things about this book: it's about cats and it is a very quick read. The first two parts weren't amazing but they kept me interested, which the rest of the book really didn't. Some scenes managed to stir up some emotions in me, especially with the dog Jon, however, not enough to save the book. The cats didn't feel like cats and the humans lacked depth. On top of this, having the male cat believe he's in a romantic relationship with his female owner didn't make any sense and really sums up the views expressed in this book. Maybe good writing could have saved it but it was nothing to write home about and the POV switches were too often and too boring. Definitely my least favourite cat-centered book but at least it was over in less than a day.
