Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs

I kept passing this book up every time I saw it on the shelves. I was judging it by its cover, as we all know you're not supposed to do. Eventually, I was desperate for something to read that wasn't a textbook or the continuing education for work I've been stuck with for months and just happened to stop in the book aisle while at Target shopping and dropped it into my cart. I'm glad I did. I was hooked within the first few pages and I honestly didn't see the end coming as soon as I started, which was nice. I look forward to reading the next book.
